Marketing

Research, content, channels and the campaigns that carry them.

What it covers

Marketing support spans strategy at one end and production at the other, and most businesses need far more of the second than they expect. A single marketer covering strategy, copy, design and paid media is usually a marketer doing none of them well.

What they do

  • Plan and run the content calendar
  • Write copy — site, email, ads, landing pages
  • Build and optimise paid campaigns
  • SEO: research, on-page work, content briefs
  • Email sequences, segmentation and automation
  • Social management, community and scheduling
  • Edit video and produce short-form cuts
  • Design assets to an existing brand system

Titles we hire for

  • Marketing Strategy
  • Social Media Management
  • Content Creation
  • Copywriter
  • SEO
  • Email Marketing
  • Video Editor
  • Graphic Designer

Working remotely

The most naturally remote discipline

Marketing output is almost entirely asynchronous deliverables — a draft, a campaign, a cut, a report. Location is close to irrelevant, and a portfolio tells you more than an interview will. It is the easiest discipline to staff remotely and the easiest to assess before you hire.

Working hours, not time zones

7–9 hours of overlap with a 9–6 New York day

Overlap Their day, outside yours
  • Mexico City 8h
  • Bogotá 9h
  • Lima 9h
  • Santiago 8h
  • Buenos Aires 7h
  • São Paulo 7h
6am 9am 12pm 3pm 6pm

Each bar is that city's own 9am–6pm, placed on New York time. Based on standard UTC offsets; daylight saving shifts some rows by an hour.

Choosing a level

Which level do you actually need?

The same three rates apply across every discipline. What changes is how much judgement the work needs.

  1. Entry $7–10/hr

Executing a calendar someone else planned — scheduling, formatting, basic production.

  2. Mid $11–15/hr

Owning a channel outright, with judgement over what runs and when.

  3. Expert $16+/hr

Setting the strategy, choosing channels, briefing everyone else.

Guidance, not a quote — the level is agreed on the call. Full pricing

Before the call

What to have ready.

The search starts on the discovery call. These four answers are what make it a good one.

  1. 01 Which channels you actually need covered, in priority order
  2. 02 Your tools — CMS, ad accounts, email platform, analytics
  3. 03 Whether brand guidelines and a tone of voice already exist
  4. 04 Specialist in one channel, or generalist across several
